With exciting activities and training options, The Navy League of Canada offers a great program for children aged 9 - 13 with Navy League Cadets. A pre-curser to the cadet program, the Navy is the only element to offer operations for this age group.

A unique combination of structure, cooperation, and the celebration of Canadian citizenship - Navy League Cadets is a great start for children who have an interest in learning new skills and trying different activities not normally offered in organizations for this age group.

In each individual cadet corps (group) young people can learn and experience the fundamentals of sailing, communication, survival, history, and much more. To further carry on hundreds of years of naval tradition, cadets all have the chance to earn rank. New Entry Cadet is the first rank, and from there with hard work and dedication, cadets have to opportunity to earn their Chief Petty Officer First Class rank - mirroring current Department of National Defense ranks and positions.

Cadets will get to experience customs, traditions, and training that date back to the birth of the Canadian Navy. Our program basically follows the school year, and while our main registration is at the beginning of our training year, new cadets are always welcome.
